    Vol. 1 No. 1- November (2025)

The Journal of Advanced Design (JAD) proudly presents its inaugural issue (Vol. 1, Issue 1 – November 2025), published under the aegis of Marg Foundation. This marks the beginning of a scholarly platform dedicated to exploring the evolving intersections of design, innovation, technology, and sustainability.

As an open-access, peer-reviewed international journal, JAD embodies Marg Foundation’s mission to democratise knowledge, nurture creativity, and promote design-led innovation that contributes to social and industrial progress. The journal welcomes diverse perspectives and is open for all—inviting participation from educators, researchers, practitioners, students, and communities across disciplines who believe in the transformative power of design.

The inaugural issue of JAD brings together contributions that reflect the multidisciplinary scope of the field—encompassing product design, user experience, industrial systems, design policy, education, and cultural sustainability. Each article represents an effort to integrate human-centred thinking with technological and social innovation, showcasing the relevance of design in addressing complex global challenges.

The journal aims to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and society, fostering collaboration, experimentation, and reflection. Through its open-access model, JAD ensures that every reader, regardless of institutional or geographic boundaries, can engage freely with design knowledge and ideas that shape the future.

The Editor-in-Chief, Prof. (Dr) Ranganath M. Singari, along with the Editorial and Advisory Boards, extends sincere gratitude to all contributors, reviewers, and supporters who have made this inaugural issue possible. The collective vision of JAD is to foster a global dialogue in design, where innovation meets responsibility, and creativity serves as a foundation for sustainable development.

With this first publication, the Marg Foundation reaffirms its commitment to advancing design as a discipline of purpose, inclusivity, and progress—one that connects people, systems, and ideas to create a better world.
